Struggling to get more customers for your course or coaching business?

Try this…

  1. Go to iTunes
  2. Find 10 podcasts that your clients listen to
  3. Write their names down

If you were interviewed on even just 2 of those podcasts, do you think you could get more customers? Keep in mind:

  • 100s (potentially 1000s) of people hearing about you for the first time
  • The podcast host is vouching for you
  • All you need to do is share your knowledge
  • And mention you have a product or service (no hard-selling/pitching)

You'd almost have to screw it up to NOT pick up a handful of new clients, right?

For example, one of our clients, Diana Wu David, recently did $20k in sales of her "Future Proof Your Career" online course just from doing podcast interviews:

  • She identified 25 podcasts related to her primary topic ("future of work" skills)
  • She pitched these podcasts on interviewing her about that topic
  • A handful said yes
  • Those interviews sent her 100s of qualified leads that easily converted into customers (while also growing her email list)

Now, compare this approach to the way most course creators and coaches try to attract new customers:

  • Burning through cash trying to master Facebook ads
  • Spending hours and hours creating content every week
  • Trying to crack the code on SEO so one day Google will hopefully start sending them traffic

Basically, they spend all of their time trying to build their own audience from scratch...and getting massively burned out in the process.

That's why I love showing entrepreneurs what can happen when you stop focusing so much on building your OWN audience, and simply do what Diana did…

Use other people's audiences.

You already see this happening every day outside of the online marketing echo chamber.

It's exactly what Hollywood does...

  1. Make a new movie (AKA a product)
  2. Send the actors on morning shows, late night shows, podcasts, etc.
  3. Those audiences become their customers

The studios aren't sitting around trying to build their own audience. Instead, they spread the word about their new movie by borrowing the audiences of Jimmy Fallon and Ellen, who need content to fill their shows.

YOU can do exactly the same thing.

And the best part is you don't even have to be famous.

Even if you're not already well-known in your niche, you can use this same "Other People's Audiences" approach to sell your course or coaching services.

You just need to know:

  • Where to find these opportunities (podcast interviews are just one of many "OPA" methods)
  • How to pitch the influential people and companies in your niche on featuring you to their audience
  • How to leverage your appearance into sales of your products or services (without hard-selling or doing weird affiliate deals)

This is exactly what my team and I are helping our coaching clients (like Diana) do every single day.

What if we helped YOU do the same thing?

We just opened up a limited number of free Strategy Session calls where we'll do exactly that.

  • You'll send us a few details about your business in advance
  • We will audit your business and come up with a handful of "OPA" strategies you could implement immediately to increase your sales
  • Our team will reach out to you at the scheduled time and walk you through what's working for our current clients (and how we would apply the same approach to your business)
