In fact, the most common complaint about nonfiction books is: This book had too much fluff.
So why do authors write such long, fluffy books?
Because in the past, publishers wanted books to stand out and look good on shelves. If your book was skinny, nobody could see the spine.
But now that the vast majority of books are sold online, the length of your book is completely irrelevant. Generally, shorter is better.
All that matters is if your readers are happy.
You can (and should) write a great, punchy, 100-ish page book.
(Learn how in The Punchy Books Masterclass.)
Your book won't be a booklet or an ebook. It will be available in paperback, audiobook (if you want), and look exactly the same as your favorite author's long tome.
And your readers will thank you for getting to the dang point.
These days we have:
-
- professional self-publishing (your book will look just like Stephen King's, for a fraction of the cost)
- print-on-demand (pay ZERO upfront money to print books)
- worldwide distribution for everyone (companies like Amazon and IngramSpark will shop and ship your book for basically nothing)
Ergo: It's now 10-times easier to write a better book, faster.
A new category of books is being born -- one that will get you the credibility, impact and clients you deserve ... much faster and easier, without feeling like a slimey salesball with obnoxious webinars.
I call it: The Punchy Book, and here are their 5 commandments (shorter than 10 ;) ).
The 5 Commandments of Punchy Books
-
- Thou shalt not write fluff (100-150 pages).
- Thou shalt not sound like anyone else (create a new category within your niche).
- Thou shalt not worry about writing skill (simple, conversational language wins).
- Thou shalt not worry about shameless self-promotion (when you write a punchy book properly, word of mouth does your marketing on autopilot).
- Thou shalt not try to impress your readers (the best experts are the most honest and relatable, not the most "qualified").

You're overqualified and under-appreciated, and it's time for you to get the credibility and impact you deserve.
You know you have a book in you, and it's time to get it out.
Let's write your Punchy Book in the next 90 days or less.
I'll show you exactly how I wrote my first punchy book (and made $15k+ in royalties) while 22 and unemployed. Nine years and a few hundred clients later, I've learned the most effective way that anyone can do the same … as long as they have the courage to dig deep and be honest with their readers.
In "The Punchy Books Masterclass," you'll learn how YOU can become a punchy author in the next 90 days or so … because writing a good book isn't as difficult as you think.
It certainly isn't easy, but it is doable.
You don't need more skill or experience, you just need a plan to get you there – and I hope to see you in the class.

- and a heckuva lot more, including my uber-honest, LIVE answers to all of your understandable doubts (I am an open book -- pun always intended -- and want to answer YOUR biggest questions)

Bryan here again. Makes writing your first book sound like a breeze, right?
It's got me and my marketing team re-imagining how we can use books for front-end offers, building authority, and lead gen now that we know we can write them quickly.
Check out Rud's training and let me know if you have the same reaction I did.
